In the event of inclement weather, practice
cancellations/changes for practices may be posted on the Tsunami
website under Important Dates (under Weekly News), posted to
our
Twitter
Account asap that
day and/or emailed to all current Tsunami Swim Team registered
members through the active Team Unify Tsunami database, if
possible.
Tsunami makes any and all reasonable attempts to make practice
available to its members. Some pools may be closed as their
operational procedures are tied to their local school
district’s closures or rules regarding weather. Practices may
be moved to other open pools due to facility closures of this
nature.
Safe travel conditions must be a priority for everyone. Please use
good judgment in considering practice attendance during challenging
weather conditions. If Tsunami practice is being held during
periods of inclement weather, that does not mean Tsunami guarantees
safe travel.
Note: If you are not receiving
emails or Twitter updates from Tsunami, you will not receive
practice cancellations as the same system will be used. We encourage all of our members
to sign up for notifications on our
Twitter Account
as this will be the primary correspondence
regarding last minute cancellations/changes.
Summer options during
Thunderstorms may include swimming inside at the YMCA,
re-scheduling practices to Bridger, or canceling all or part of
practice. Given the
short length of the summer season, we want to take advantage of
every opportunity that we have to train. Please talk to your coach if you
have questions regarding this policy. Thank you for your
